Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an Distinguished Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acclaimed for her pioneering work in studying eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in legal settings. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive, she has received numerous grants and is the recipient of many awards at both national and internationally. She has offered consulting on research and policy for numerous government agencies and departments from all over the world. She is an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, such as that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
