Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an Distinguished Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acclaimed for her pioneering work in studying eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in legal settings. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive, she has received numerous grants and is the recipient of many awards at both national and internationally. She has offered consulting on research and policy for numerous government agencies and departments from all over the world. She is an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, such as that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
