A human adult or animal is one who has grown to its full potential. In the context of human beings, the term "adult" may mean something connected to social or legal concepts. In contrast to a person who is not considered an adult or "minor" an legal adult is a person who has reached the age of majority which makes them independent as well as responsible and competent. As we enter our early twenties, our physical abilities reach their maximum. This includes muscle strength and speed of reaction.
